Microsoft-backed AI start-up OpenAI said on TuesdayDeuceswildbonuspokerThe company will launch a tool that can detect images created by its text-to-image generator, Dall-E 3. At present, there is a growing concern that the content generated by AI will have a negative impact on this year's global elections.

OpenAI said that in internal tests, the tool correctly identified images created by Dall-E 3 in about 98 per cent of the time and could handle common modifications such as compression, cropping and saturation changes.

OpenAI also said it plans to add tamper-proof watermarks to mark digital content such as photos or audio, which are difficult to remove.

As part of this effort, OpenAI has also joined an industry group, including Google, Microsoft and Adobe, and plans to provide a standard that helps track different media sources.

Today, OpenAI and Microsoft also jointly announced the launch of a $2 million Social resilience Fund (Societal Resilience Fund) to promote AI education and literacy for voters and vulnerable communities.

About 2 billion people around the world will vote in democratic elections this year, according to the two companies, making it more important than ever to provide tools and information to help people navigate an increasingly complex digital ecosystem and find authoritative resources.
